2nd shift Technical Support
  • Acknowledge and respond to customer issues. These issues are primarily of a technical nature but will also include sales and billing questions. Our technicians must have the ability to analyze individual issues while at the same time have the ability to recognize patterns
  • In-depth knowledge of IP Networking
  • Provide real time responses to customer support inquiries
  • Interact with customers via electronic channels and telephone
  • Diagnose problem causes and provide solutions
  • Ensure continuous monitoring of customer issues until they are resolved
  • Contribute FAQs and articles to the knowledge base


  • EXPERIENCE:
  • Help desk experience
  • Experience supporting proprietary applications and supporting external customers/client
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Self-motivated and resourceful
  • Empathy and enthusiasm essential to dealing with difficult customer issues
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new methodologies and technologies, and work in a high-pressure environment
  • Preference for working in a cooperative team environment
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn new technology quickly


  • A customer support person:
  • Wants to delight customers, above and beyond the call of duty
  • Has intimate knowledge of the customers needs
  • Has empathy for the customers situation
  • Is able to communicate clearly, both written and in speech
  • Talks in a way the customer can understand
  • Has "thick skin" and is able to handle complaints, even when handling unpleasant customers
  • Works accurately and with eye for detail
  • Handles situations in the best interest of both customer and company
  • Is able to use automated information systems to analyze the customers situation
  • Is able to suggest improvements to the various communications by the company (eg. website, FAQ, etc)
  • Has a pleasant, friendly style
  • Is willing to build a long-term relationship with the customer (not a "job-hopper")
