Job Description:
As a Tower Technician at Fox Valley Internet, you will be a vital member of our team, responsible for ensuring that our wireless infrastructure is operating smoothly and efficiently. Your work will help to maintain and upgrade our towers and antennas, which are essential for providing high-quality internet service to our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of wireless equipment on communication towers
  • Ensure the safety and stability of tower structures
  • Conduct regular inspections and identify potential issues
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and industry standards

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience in tower climbing and maintenance or related field
  • Ability to work at heights of up to 500 feet while wearing safety equipment
  • Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl for extended periods of time
  • Understanding of tower safety practices and procedures
  • Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools
  • Willingness to work in adverse weather conditions and irregular hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

We are seeking a Certified Fortinet Cyber Security Technician to join our team. As a Fortinet Cyber Security Technician, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of cyber security solutions for our clients. You will work with our team of engineers to ensure that our clients’ networks are secure and protected against cyber threats.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain cyber security solutions using Fortinet products
  • Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
  • Monitor networks for security breaches and investigate security incidents
  • Develop and maintain security policies and procedures
  • Provide technical support to clients on security-related issues
  • Keep up to date with the latest security technologies and trends

Requirements:

  • Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking devices
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues to ensure the highest level of network availability and performance

  • Monitor network systems and proactively address potential issues to maintain optimal network health

As an Installation Technician at Fox Valley Internet, you’ll be responsible for installing and maintaining our telecommunications equipment at customer premises.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure wireless and VoIP equipment at customer locations
  • Evaluate job sites to assess optimal placement of equipment and communicate with customers / management to review the installation process.
  • Troubleshoot and repair any issues related to Internet or VoIP equipment
  • Provide onsite customer support and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Adhere to safety regulations and company policies

Requirements:

  • Experience with the installation of telecommunications equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Have a valid driver’s license with their own transportation, ladder and tools.
  • Physical ability to climb ladders and work on roofs and in attics.
  • Ability to use hand tools including drill, cable crimper, caulking gun, etc.
  • Applicants must frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
  • Must be comfortable working in small spaces and/or at various heights.
  • Experience with cat5 cable and connectors

  • Assist in the development and implementation of troubleshooting procedures and knowledge base articles for Tier 1 support
  • Continuously improve your knowledge of our products and services, staying updated on the latest developments and best practices

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • In-depth understanding of wireless equipment, email, and VoIP technologies
  • Previous experience in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 technical support role
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and adapt to a dynamic work atmosphere
  • Strong customer service skills and a commitment to providing exceptional support
