Job Description:
As a Tower Technician at Fox Valley Internet, you will be a vital member of our team, responsible for ensuring that our wireless infrastructure is operating smoothly and efficiently. Your work will help to maintain and upgrade our towers and antennas, which are essential for providing high-quality internet service to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of wireless equipment on communication towers
- Ensure the safety and stability of tower structures
- Conduct regular inspections and identify potential issues
- Adhere to all safety regulations and industry standards
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience in tower climbing and maintenance or related field
- Ability to work at heights of up to 500 feet while wearing safety equipment
- Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl for extended periods of time
- Understanding of tower safety practices and procedures
- Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems
- Familiarity with hand and power tools
- Willingness to work in adverse weather conditions and irregular hours, including weekends and holidays
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
