Job Description:
As an Installation Technician at Fox Valley Internet, you’ll be responsible for installing and maintaining our telecommunications equipment at customer premises.
Responsibilities:
- Install and configure wireless and VoIP equipment at customer locations
- Evaluate job sites to assess optimal placement of equipment and communicate with customers / management to review the installation process.
- Troubleshoot and repair any issues related to Internet or VoIP equipment
- Provide onsite customer support and ensure customer satisfaction
- Adhere to safety regulations and company policies
Requirements:
- Experience with the installation of telecommunications equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Have a valid driver’s license with their own transportation, ladder and tools.
- Physical ability to climb ladders and work on roofs and in attics.
- Ability to use hand tools including drill, cable crimper, caulking gun, etc.
- Applicants must frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
- Must be comfortable working in small spaces and/or at various heights.
- Experience with cat5 cable and connectors
