Job Description:
Fox Valley Internet, a leading provider of high-quality internet services, is seeking an experienced and motivated Network Engineer to join our team. Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking devices
- Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues to ensure the highest level of network availability and performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement network solutions that meet business requirements
- Monitor network systems and proactively address potential issues to maintain optimal network health
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of network topology, configuration, and policies
- Assist in the planning and execution of network expansion and upgrades
- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members and customers as needed
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in network engineering, preferably within an internet service provider environment
- Strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies, such as IP, OSPF, BGP, and MPLS
- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, and firewalls
- Knowledge of network security best practices and experience implementing security measures
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Relevant certifications (e.g., NSE4-8, CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA) are highly desired
